On-line Counselling

Quiet%20Desk_edited.jpg

There are times when it can be difficult to physically attend a counselling appointment and that's where on-line counselling can fulfil a need. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation we are experiencing one of those times.

Therefore to enable clients to access the support they need and to safeguard against Coronavirus I offer online virtual counselling via either the Microsoft Teams or Zoom platforms.  A computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone with camera and sound facility and a stable internet connection is all that is needed to engage in this form of therapy.

For online counselling to be successful and for client confidentiality to be upheld clients are encouraged to be in a safe space wherein they cannot be overheard or disturbed.

Online counselling has been shown to be as effective as in-person counselling for many issues and is conducted within robust ethical boundaries in the same way as is face-to-face in-person counselling.

If you feel that online counselling could offer you the support you need please feel free contact me via email to begin the conversation.

If, after an initial conversation, it is felt that online therapy is not appropriate  I can help with signposting to another practitioner or organisation better suited to the support sought.
