On-line Counselling

There are times when it can be difficult to physically attend a counselling appointment and that's where on-line counselling can fulfill a need. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing measures we are experiencing one of those times.
Therefore to enable clients to access the support they need and to safeguard against the Coronavirus I offer on-line virtual counselling via either the Microsoft Teams or Zoom platforms. A computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone with camera and sound facility and a stable internet connection is all that is needed to engage in this form of therapy.
For on-line counselling to be successful and for client confidentiality to be upheld clients are encouraged to be in a safe space wherein they cannot be overheard or disturbed.
On-line counselling has been shown to be as effective as in-person counselling for many issues and is conducted within robust ethical boundaries in the same way as is face-to-face in-person counselling.
If you feel that on-line counselling could offer you the support you need please feel free contact me via email to begin the conversation.
If, after an initial conversation, it is felt that on-line therapy is not appropriate I can help with signposting to another practitioner or organisation better suited to the support sought.
